Caer Ibormeith (the Dream Fairy) ~ pronounced Kee’yair EE-bore-meeth

(rhymes with Pierre see more teeth) ~ See her story below

Princess Caer Ibormeith was the daughter of Ethal Anubail, a fairy king of Connacht. She often assumed the form of a swan and spent most of her time on Loch (lake) Dragon's Mouth with her swan friends. She is pictured here riding on the back of her love, Aengus MacOg, who also became a swan so he could be with her. When they are both in swan form, they sing the sweetest lullabies ever heard in Ireland, songs that muse and charm the locals into calm and blissful sleep. For this, she is remembered as the Dream Fairy. Read more about Caer Ibormeith on the story card that comes with this beautiful photographic portrait, available in black or white mats.
